Many people who go online today will see a video, tweet, or
meme depicting a child saying something profound. Imagine the show Kids say
the Darnist Things but instead of comedy it’s political. We saw this in the
wake of Trumps election when several leftist posted to twitter quotes allegedly
spoken by their children, who all happened to be around 8 years old. We also
got videos of kids looking directly into the camera and saying things like they
are afraid of Trump or trying to give him advice (like, “maybe you should sit
in a quiet place and think about things before you make a decision.”). There
are two main reasons I can think that this would be done. Protect the children
narrative and even a child knows narrative.
The protect
the children narrative is used to get people to hate Trump because he is a
threat to their children. If your child comes to you and says I’m afraid of
that person over there, as a parent your natural instinct is to protect your
child. You immediately do not like the person they indicated and are on guard
from them. While this is not always true (and most parents would follow up with
their child and reassure them everything is fine), it is a natural instinct to
protect your children. It also gives the idea to children that Trump is
something to be feared. They hear their friends saying it (and probably their
teachers) and they start to think it is real. When your child has a real fear
of something parents will do lots to comfort their kids. Leave the hall light
on all night, check under the bed for monsters and much more are done, even
though the parents know the fears are unfounded. The lengths a parent will go
to for their children are limitless and if your kid is afraid of Trump than it
makes you think, is he really as awful a person as the media and Regressive’s
make him out to be?
The second
narrative is the even a child knows narrative. This is used as a way of showing
how amazing some Regressive’s child is as well as a way of making people feel
stupid or wrong. Out of the mouth of babes is a famous axiom uttered when a
child can see and say something clearly because of their youthful innocence. Regressive
parents love tweeting ‘amazing’ and ‘intelligent’ things their children say. They
want to say look at how ‘smart’ my kid is, they are so smart because I am a
great parent, I am awesome. In reality the child is just parroting what the
parents (or their teachers) are saying. The left seem to think that repeating
what you hear over and over again is a sign of intelligence (just look at their
protesters, activists and college students). This is also used to say you are
stupid, even a child knows this person is evil, why can’t you? They try to get
you to think, well maybe I missed something, and maybe I was wrong.
These
narratives seem silly when you recognize them, yet they both seem to work. This
is largely due to the fact that people will listen to what a child has to say
in a short video titled “Most amazing 8 year old ever!!!!!!!!!!!! You’ll never
believe it”. We cannot make choices about Government and policy based on what
our children say. Children do not know anything nor can they provide deep
insight into anything past what kind of candy they like. Do not be manipulated
by people who are using children to pull on your heart strings and emotions.
Just think, would I let a child make the rules and financial choices for my
home? Children should be loved and cherished, given structure and rules. They
should not give rules and should not make important decisions. The people that
would use children in this way should be outed for what they really are,
manipulators and ideologues bent on changing you to validate their own twisted
world view. Remember, be wary of woke 8 year olds, they may be funny in an
online video but usually have someone pulling their strings to try and pull
yours.
